Additional info: Tulum is a Mayan settlement strategically built on a cliff facing the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea developed by the Mayan civilization between the 400's A.d. and occupied until the imminent arrival of the Spanish in the late 1400's. Yalku: Yalku is natural inlet located in northern Akumal. Only 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 20 minutes north of Tulum. At Yalku, restrooms and changing rooms are available for the activity. Life vests, a mask, and a snorkeling tube is provided upon arrival. Here we will enjoy a fantastic snorkeling tour through the inlet and witness a large variety of sea life. A tour guide will show us around the inlet and provide safety instructions to enjoy the activity. After the tour, upon request, we may enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the inlet for up to 1.5hrs.
