A Fantastic Day Of Adventure, Education, and Fun, You'll Simply Love This Tour! Book an LDS tour to Coba ruins and cenote!

Your encounter with the Mayan culture starts with a 1,500-year-old historical journey to the ancestral city of Coba, an archaeological site hidden deep inside the rain forest of the southeastern end of the Yucatan Peninsula. This quiet and peaceful archaeological site dates from 600-900 AD., at once it was the heart of a large metropolis composed of many cities within the southeastern Yucatan Peninsula. We’ll explore these Mayan ruins riding bikes or hiking. Climbing the Nohoch Muul temple (the tallest pyramid of the state measuring 140ft tall approx.), you will be able to admire the pristine beauty and immeasurable vastness of the surrounding subtropical jungle.

These are the largest ruins near Cancun, Mexico. They are also the most recently uncovered, and restoration is still taking place.

Itinerary

  1. 7AM – 8:30AM: Pick-up at your hotel or resort’s front lobby (times may vary depending on your location). Pick-up times are scheduled one day before departure.
  2. Drive to Coba Ruins (1hour to 2hours depending on your location).
  3. 8AM – 9AM: Arrival at Coba Ruins and restroom break.
  4. Enjoy a fascinating tour of the ruins for 1.5hrs to 2.5 hrs approximately, free time included.
  5. 12:00PMArrival at Buffet Restaurant for Lunch.
  6. 1:00PMCenote swimming activity.
  7. 2:00PMReturn to Hotel (drive may take 1hour to 2hrs depending on your hotel’s location).

Wonderful Tours, Fantastic Guide

We used Alma’s LDS Tours for almost everything on our family week-long trip to Cancun: the shuttle to and from the airport, two full-day tours (Tulum, Coba, cenote / Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, cenote Ik Kil), and a ride to and from church. Ricardo shared so many amazing facts about all of the ruins we saw as well as how they compare and connect to other ruins in the surrounding areas. I really appreciated how Alma’s LDS Tours truly included everything in the price you pay up front except for tips and souvenirs. So many other tours look cheaper, but if you read the fine print, they don’t include entrance fees to sites or life jackets for cenotes or city taxes.
