About this tour

If you are planning to visit Tulum ruins, don´t forget to add a fantastic touch to your tour and snorkel in the world´s 2nd longest reef, the Palancar Reef.

On this tour, we first explore these majestic ruins by foot with one of our expert tour guides, and we learn about this magnificent civilization and their similarities with the people of the Book of Mormon. After, we bring you on a boat, and we take off to the sea making a stop right in front of the ruins so you can take pictures of the temples of Tulum from a privileged view. Afterward, we navigate to our favorite areas of the reef and enjoy a breathtaking snorkeling experience. A light lunch, fresh bottled water, and snorkel equipment are included in this tour.

Itinerary

  1. 7AM – 8:30AM: Pick-up at your hotel or resort’s front lobby (times may vary depending on your location). Pick-up times are scheduled one day before departure.
  2. Drive to Tulum Ruins (45mins to 1.5hrs depending on your location).
  3. 8AM – 9AM: Arrival at Tulum Ruins and restroom break.
  4. Enjoy a fascinating tour of the ruins for 1.5hrs to 2 hrs approximately, free time included.
  5. 11:00AM – 12:00PMLunch at Tulum Restaurant
  6. 12:30 -1:00PM: Beach Arrival for snorkeling activity.
  7. 2:30PMReturn to Hotel (drive time may be 45 minutes to 1.5hrs depending on your hotel’s location)

Blew Away Expectations

Our tour of Tulum with Heber4Ever and Alma’s LDS Tours was absolutely perfect in every way! The early start time was ideal — we completely beat the crowds and had the site almost to ourselves. Heber is incredibly knowledgeable about the Mayan people, their history, and the Tulum site itself. We especially appreciated how he thoughtfully highlighted perspectives from an LDS viewpoint without ever assuming or speculating beyond what evidence supports. That balance made the experience both spiritually enriching and historically grounded.
