Miguel has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Business. For several years, he successfully developed his career working as an independent general contractor and also working for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico as a General Project Supervisor. Miguel is currently the CEO of Alma’s LDS Tours where he continually oversees the general operations, sales, and marketing strategy. He constantly works improving the Almas LDS Tours website keeping it optimized, attractive, informative and user-friendly. He has also enjoyed different roles in the company which includes guiding and conducting tours to the Yucatan Peninsula and Mexico City, acquiring experience and knowledge of the area. Miguel is the father of 5 talented children; he is a husband and a former Bishop. He lives sharing his knowledge and testimony of the Savior ́s visit to the Americas. He is a true example of leadership, hard work, and perseverance.

Alma is a Professional licensed tour guide with a degree in anthropology, archaeology, and Mexican history. A passionate researcher in Mesoamerican Culture and Book of Mormon history. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and the Mayan Yucateco dialect Thanks to her extensive experience in leading people through Mayan archaeological sites of the Yucatan Peninsula for over 25 years, Alma became the human resource trainer and director of Alma ́s LDS Tours. She believes in the importance of maintaining highly trained and qualified tour guides to guarantee memorable experiences to all our customers. Her mission is to create satisfied customers every time by speaking about the Savior Jesus Christ in the Americas and bringing the Book of Mormon to life. Born in México City to Luz Lehman of German descent and Luis Petlacalco, one of the pioneering official tour guides of Tulum, and an Aztec descendant. As a child, she spent most of her time with her father, searching and exploring for new sites in Mexico. She grew up admiring his example as he guided people through Tulum, Chichen Itza, and Teohtihuacan, sharing with them the resemblance between these ancient civilizations and the Book of Mormon. It was then that deep love and appreciation for her culture was planted in her heart and with the pass of time, cultivated the desire to share with others her vast expertise and knowledge.

An officially licensed and certified tour guide, Miguel has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeoastronomy and Mexican History. His passion is the study of Old World Mesoamerican culture, language, and rituals. He also possesses a Business Engineering Bachelor’s degree from the University of Quintana Roo in Mexico. Miguel is fluent in English and Spanish and is also a certified scuba diver. Throughout the years he has conducted and escorted many tours through the Yucatan Peninsula, Chiapas and Mexico City. He is a returned missionary who served in the Puebla, Mexico Mission where he developed a great love for the Book of Mormon and the archaeological sites of Mexico. He enjoys the symbolism of the scriptures, believing that understanding the symbolic meanings of the scriptures enables their practical application. His studies and experience help him show interesting parallels that can be found in the Book of Mormon, the Bible and also in the beliefs of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. His style of teaching is straight from the scriptures, using them as his primary source.

David is an official licensed tour guide with a degree in Archeology, Anthropology, and Mexican history. He earned his degree in Archaeology and Mexican History at UNICVA University in Cancun. David is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is an advanced scuba diver and also possesses a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Advertising with an emphasis in online marketing obtained at the University of the Riviera in Mexico. In pursuit of his method of tour guiding, David is working toward certification in the Mayan language that will allow him to show others the local culture, as well as the people's lifestyle that inspires him. He is currently working as a tour guide and also manages the online marketing department for Alma ́s LDS Tours. David is committed to fostering the online success of Alma's LDS Tours through effective SEO strategies and proper use of social media. As a tour guide, David helps LDS visitors of any age from all over the world understand the history of Mexico with fascinating and inspiring insights of the Book of Mormon. David served as a full-time missionary in the Mexico City Northwest Mission and is currently working in his local calling for the Zacil-ha Ward in the Playa del Carmen Stake.

Janine feels privileged to be a positive attribute to our customers' travel experiences and offers her extensive knowledge and expertise in customer service, accounting, and business administration. She firmly believes everyone should step out of their comfort zone and follow their passion and dreams, no matter what those may be. Janine is always happy to help visitors with booking and reservations and making a lifetime memory.

Arnie has been on the move his entire life, his passion for adventure and discovery propelling him to nearly 160 archaeological sites throughout Mexico. Arnie is a passionate researcher in the studies of Astronomy, Geography, and Mayan culture and has a degree in Archaeology and Mexican History at the UNICVA University in Cancun. He is an active contributor to a Mexican magazine known as 'Arquelogía Mexicana' and has published several articles in collaboration with other Mexican archeologists. Arnie is also an official licensed tour guide certified by the Secretary of Tourism and has several years of leading tours in the Yucatan area and Mexico City. At the age of 24, Arnie joined the Church and later, with special authorization, was called to serve a mission for two years in the Little Rock, Arkansas Mission, USA. It was then that his basic English skills were put to the test and he even dominated the American Southern Drawl.

If there's one thing Abril is certain of, it's that she wants to promote positive changes in people's lives. One of the many ways she found to follow her 'calling' was assisting people to leave the comfort of their couches and see the world firsthand. Traveling since she was born (literally), Abril has watched her experiences and knowledge gained around the globe shape the person she is today. She allied her passion for the archaeological sites of Mexico with her passion for the environment by earning her Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Tourism Management. Abril's passions also include photography and dancing. She is also an officially licensed tour guide with a degree in Anthropology, Archaeology and Mexican History. She is highly trained in and knowledgeable about Mayan culture and also has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.

The most eligible bachelor of Alma ́s LDS Tours... but not for long he says! Alex is an official licensed tour guide certified by the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico. He possesses a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology from the UNICVA University in Cancun. Despite his credentials, he consistently attends to seminars to stay updated with the latest discoveries and theories of the Mayan ruins of the Yucatan Península. With his dauntless and outgoing personality, he is committed to providing the most entertaining experience to all our customers providing a highly informative tour but also making it fun and enjoyable for everyone in the family. Raised in Mesa, Arizona until the age of 17, Alex became fluent in both English and Spanish. In his free time, Alex enjoys of several extreme activities such as rock climbing, zip lining, free diving, parkour and swimming with whale sharks. He is a true people's person and loves making new friends from all over the world! After serving as a full-time missionary in the Mexico Villahermosa Mission, Alex learned to see life with an eternal perspective. He has learned never to take anything for granted and always to appreciate the opportunities life offers. Has a profound testimony of the Book of Mormon and firmly believes in the connection with the people of Mesoamerica. He is always more than willing to share his expertise with all our visitors.
Alex Edmundo Valencia
A real cowboy from the west ... the west of Mexico that is! Originally from the beautiful port city of Puerto Vallarta Mexico where Adrian discovered his passion for adventure and nature. He is an official licensed tour guide certified by the Secretary of Tourism and has also obtained a degree in Archaeology with a specialty in Botany and Herbal Medicine from the UNICVA University of Mexico. Speaks fluently English and Spanish and is currently working on a certification in the French language. As a manager for several extreme eco-adventure parks, Adrian became highly trained for rescue in high-risk activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, river rafting and zip lining. He considers himself a true adventurer and an adrenaline addict. At the age of 22, Adrian after several years of listening to the LDS missionaries finally decided to be baptized. On year later he served in the Mexico City Northwest Mission as a full-time missionary where he learned to share his love with all the people met and especially to a beautiful sister missionary that little did he know would end up becoming his wife. Adrian delights himself on the comprehension of the scriptures and is always finding opportunities to share his knowledge with others explaining the significant similarities with the people of Mesoamerica. Today he is a husband, and a father to a charming young girl full of spirit.
